Since 1938, Export-Import Services has served as the right arm of successful small and medium sized U.S. businesses doing business overseas, taking care of all their export and import logistics needs. We take pride in our import export services, and we cater to all of our clients’ needs.
The father and son team of James F. Farrell Sr. and James F. Farrell, Jr. formed the business in 1938 on the docks of New York City, when lower Manhattan’s shoreline swelled with shipping vessels taking on their charge, and a small army of couriers rushed paperwork back and forth from the piers. In 1970, Export-Import Services became the first tenant to set up office in the World Trade Center, on the tenth floor.
In 1990, leaving the Telex, Teletype and typewriter machines behind, the company moved headquarters to the heart of New Jersey’s high-tech hub. Now led by the third and fourth generations of the Farrell family, our import export services team strives to maintain the company’s high standards.
“Both my grandfather and father were highly respected for their honesty and integrity, a tradition that continues today,” said Export-Import Services President, Patricia Farrell. “The integrity of the business is something we trade on. We stand behind what we say we can do. All that is part of their legacy.”
The company’s customers depend on Export-Import Services to understand and deal with complex government regulations in places like the Asia, Middle East, Africa and South America. They know the firm will safeguard their diverse license requirements and identify reliable carriers for items as diverse as food machinery, automobiles and chemicals.
Some of Export-Import’s first customers are still with the company today. “They are very loyal, and they’ve become part of our family,” said Patricia Farrell.
